Physiotherapy covers the diagnosis and management of back and neck pain. This includes back pain due to pregnancy or the work environment.

Your trained physiotherapist can aid in the treatment of:

  • Back and neck problems.
  • Shoulder pain and/or limited movement.
  • Problems associated with arthritis.
  • Repetitive strain injuries.
  • Knee, ankle or foot damage and/or pain during activity.
  • Limited range of movement due to fractures, immobilisation or surgery.
  • Muscle damage and/or weakness.
  • Specific sporting injuries requiring specific rehabilitation.

The practice philososphy of a trained phsyiotherapist is:

  • The aim of every patient consultation is to find the cause and be sure to address this as well as the presenting problem.
  • Treat the condition in the context of the patient as a whole.
  • Education of the patient into the nature of the problem and why the treatment should solve it.
  • Ensure that the patient achieves what they want to achieve with the treatment.
  • Wherever possible do not stop the patient doing their sport.
  • Always consider a multidisciplinary approach and refer patient onto, or communicate with their GP, consultant or podiatrist when necessary.
