Joanna qualified with the best student award from the London Foot Hospital and School of Chiropody in 1987.  She worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years, initially in Oxfordshire before moving to Buckinghamshire in 1991.  During her time in the NHS she gained experience in treating patients with a wide range of foot problems and medical conditions, experience which she now brings to clients attending Feet First.

Her specialist interests include nail surgery and the management of the “at-risk” foot (such as the feet of people with poor circulation, rheumatoid arthritis, neurological conditions and complications associated with diabetes), although she gains great satisfaction in giving relief to patients by treating some of the more basic, but often painful, foot conditions.
